ABOUT US
Cunningham Farm
The Angus females in this herd mostly originate from the registered herd started by James E. Cunningham and his two sons Jimmy and Jacky Cunningham in the 1960s. The search for the genetics for this cow herd has always been a nationwide search, bulls bred from recognized programs such as Ankony Angus in New York, Kansas State University, and recently Sydenstricker Genetics in Missouri.

PineRidge Farm
Mick and Jane Breault began their cattle operation in 1980 raising Registered Polled Herefords. We bred Polled Herefords that stood the test for milk and maternal traits. We continued with the registered cattle until 2000. At the start of the new millennium we decided to make a change in our program to meet the needs of a changing industry. We began our Black Baldie breeding program. With the proven genetics of our Polled Hereford females we needed the best Black Angus bulls we could find that would work in our climate of heat and humidity. The search led us to Sydenstricker Genetics of Mexico, Missouri. It was a perfect match and the Black Baldie breeding program began with instant success. Since that time we have dedicated ourselves to breeding the highest quality of Black Baldie available in the Southeast.

Partnership
The primary goal as purebred breeders was to improve our genetics with each calf crop. That goal remains in place in the Black Baldie program. In 2006 Pine Ridge Farm joined with Cunningham Farm to continue toward our goal. The partnership has added to the overall genetic package.

These cattle are acclimated to the heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast, slick haired and functional with emphasis on conformation and udder structure. Our heifers are culled on the basis of disposition, conformation, and performance before they are offered for sale, usually in the early summer. The heifers are vaccinated for Brucellois, 7way Blackleg, IBR, BVD, Lepto, and wormed with fly tags as calves. These heifers come with sire/dam information as well as performance information (Birth, Weaning and Yearling weights).

It is a challenge to improve every year and to present to you, the producer, an excellent commercial animal that will improve your operation.
